While in Japan, the President is reportedly scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe over a round of golf and dinner on Nov. 5. But at dinner, according to the Washington Post, the two world leaders will be greeted by singer/comedian Piko-Taro — who is none other than the man behind that Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen song.
Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen (PPAP) is a nonsensical song about combining fruit and a pen. That is it.
The singer Piko-Taro, whose real name is Daimaou Kosaka, originally posted the video in August and performs the song wearing what looks like gold and leopard-print silk pajamas.
It has so far been viewed upwards of 126 million times after going viral in September. PPAP inspired both Japanese and Western tribute videos — including a pretty cute video from Arabella Kushner, posted on Instagram by her mom Ivanka.

Apparently Japanese officials have picked up on the fact that Arabella is a fan. At Japan's National Cherry Blossom festival this Spring, which Ivanka and Arabella attended, the Japanese Foreign Ministry played a specially recorded video message from Piko-Taro, who apparently never takes off his gilded PJs. In the video, he updated the PPAP lyrics to praise Japanese-American relations. Which is only slightly creepy.

Here's hoping Trump starts signing legislation exclusively with Pineapple Pens.
